Cognitive Rehabilitation after Brain Injury

Who are our clients?

Usually our clients have sustained a brain injury, and feel they need more support, information, and insight in order to continue their rehabilitation journey from home. They have often been discharged from inpatient programs, and need specialized help to move forward and understand more about brain injury recovery.

Rehabilitation is a team sport. We love to involve family, friends, loved ones, and other support people in the process as much as possible. Everyone in the team can benefit from learning to think differently about brain injury, and how to support their recovering loved one.

What should clients expect?

Using evidence-based, best practice methods, we work to empower our cognitive rehabilitation clients. No two clients or injuries are the same, so our goal is to get to know your unique situation. We then help create some order around what feels like chaos.

It can be extremely empowering for our clients to better understand their symptoms, and why they are experiencing them. We help them to reach their goals by highlighting important tips and insights, and then laying out ideas for next steps, which takes some creative and collaborative work. We are especially motivated to help reduce overall stress on the individual and their loved ones, which lays the groundwork for more progress.

As both assessment and rehabilitation professionals, Lewis Neuropsychology has a reach across all of British Columbia and Alberta, via our online services.
